Ny'Ree is a playwright/director/actress and a proud wife and mother of three. She graduated from Wayne State in '03 with a BFA in theatre. Ny'Ree's career highlights include the premiere of Jazzy Ass Woman in '08 and Wrong Cycle in '10; both shows written, directed and featuring her.

Matt Lambert works with patients at Children's Hospital of Michigan to create a tiles for a large ceramic mural that will be permanently installed in hospital.

Clients at Mariners Inn work on plaster life-masks

A project involving WSU students helped the clients of Mariners Inn create plaster life-masks that were later painted. Clients wrote reflections on their interpretations of the masks that were exhibited in the Swords Into Plowshares Gallery in Detroit.

Ulysses Hollowell - A Work of Art in Life

ArtsCorpsDetroit is saddened by the loss of Ulysses Hollowell, a loving husband, father, and community change agent. Uly, a service learning student for ACD, volunteered at Capuchin Soup Kitchen in its Rosa Parks Youth Program, working with youth creating ceramic works of art. Uly dedicated his life to creating beauty and empowering others through positive action and encouragement. He touched many lives and we will miss him dearly.
