On Saturday, December 1st, from 5:00pm-9:30pm, over 40 Midtown venues open their doors to the public, free of charge, during this holiday "open house." ArtsCorpsDetroit(ACD) is inviting their partner organizations to participate in this event by selling handmade items in Old Main on the WSU campus located at Cass Avenue (at Warren).  www.campusmap.wayne.edu
 

As ArtsCorpsDetroit continues to partner with community agencies that serve a variety of clientele, we also help to identify and develop venues where non-traditional artists can reach wider audiences. Many of the artists you will experience use reclaimed items to create works of art that communicate an experience born of lives and situations previously not revealed to the traditional Detroit arts patrons. Through the inclusion of these artists, the variety and depth of [artistic] renderings take on a new and refreshing persona.
